How Quevro works

See calories in, estimated calories out, and what the balance means for your goal.

Most calorie trackers make the food side visible and leave the burn side as a generic guess. Quevro plans to connect logged intake, estimated expenditure, activity context, and weight trend in one explainable energy picture.

The product described here is in active development and may change before release.

From baseline to personal

The planned learning sequence

Personalization needs enough time and enough usable observations. Quevro is designed to make that progression visible.

  1. 01

    Start with an estimate

Onboarding uses age, sex, height, weight, and general activity level to calculate an initial BMR and TDEE estimate. It is a starting point, not a personalized conclusion.

  2. 02

Build both sides of the picture

Log food and weight consistently. Food provides calories in; optional activity data can add context to estimated energy out. Missing days and partial logs are treated as data-quality limits.

  3. 03

    Separate trend from noise

Scale weight can move for reasons unrelated to fat change. Quevro plans to use a smoothed trend and multiple observation windows rather than reacting to one reading.

  4. 04

    Learn the balance and adjust

As the relationship between intake, trend, and time becomes clearer, Quevro can refine estimated energy out and phase in explained target changes for losing, maintaining, or gaining.

The core experience

The whole energy picture, not just a food total.

Quevro keeps the MVP focused on the information that helps explain a deficit, maintenance range, or surplus—without a social feed, coaching marketplace, or performative gamification.

Today

Understand the balance in seconds.

The planned Today view brings together calories in, learned or estimated TDEE, supporting activity context, estimated calories out, net deficit or surplus, trend weight, goal direction, and confidence. Incomplete data is explained instead of displayed as a misleading zero.

Food

Know the energy-in side.

Add, edit, delete, and reuse food entries with calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, quantity, meal, and time. Manual entry always works.

Weight

Follow the trend, not the spike.

See scale weight beside a smoothed trend, historical movement, current rate, and goal progress.

Progress

See whether the plan matches the goal.

Simple views are planned for trend weight, TDEE, intake, net energy balance, and projected versus observed rate across loss, maintenance, and gain goals.

Apple Health

Add context to energy out.

When connected, Quevro plans to import available steps, workouts, active energy, resting energy, and body weight. These signals can support the burn estimate, but are not treated as exact or required.

Assistance, not authority

Food estimates stay editable.

Natural-language and photo-based nutrition tools can be convenient, but serving size, preparation, and ingredients can change the result substantially. Quevro plans to present AI-assisted estimates as drafts that you review and can edit before saving.

Manual entry remains a complete path, including when a provider is unavailable.
